Interested in the ongoing violence and humanitarian crisis in the
*Democratic Republic of the Congo*?

Want to meet an awesome Dartmouth professor?

Hungry for a FREE home cooked dinner?

Join us for a *Rice & Beans Dinner Discussion* this Wednesday, October
24th with Professor Emeritus Nelson Kasfir from the Government Department!

/The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has had the most turbulent
history in Africa starting from the day it gained independence. But to
understand its current confused conflicts, it is necessary to pay a
little attention to the aftermath of the genocide in Rwanda in 1994, the
invasion into the DRC by Rwanda together with Uganda in 1996 and 1998
and the many local militia forces that have tried to resist them -- and
make money while they were at it./ /
