A Very Grimm Carnival
Schedule of Events for the 102nd Dartmouth Winter Carnival

T-Shirt and poster sales will be taking place at the Collis info desk from 12:30 to 8 on Wednesday, 10 am to 8 pm Friday, 10 am to 6 pm Friday, and 12:30 to 5 pm Saturday. T-Shirts are $20 and posters are $10, DASH or cash.

IMPT: Due to lack of snow, the snow sculpture contest sponsored by the IFC and Class of '77 has been cancelled.

Bolded green events are those sponsored by Winter Carnival Council.

Thursday
4 pm - TENTATIVE, may be cancelled due to lack of snow - the Carni Classic @ the Golf Course. A cross country ski race around the golf course for all levels of skill. Cross country skis may be rented from the DOC House. Flair is a must.
7 pm - Opening Ceremonies on the Dartmouth Green, featuring a fire throwing performance by Jacob McEntire '15, a selection from the Darmouth Aires, and a welcome from President Folt.
7 pm - Barrymore  at Loew Auditorium
7:45 pm - Carnival Tea @ the Top of the Hop. Join us for tea and cookies after Opening Ceremonies and view the classic  film Winter Carnival.

Friday
All day: 99-Cent Ski Day at the Dartmouth Skiway. Bring your student ID and get a 99 cent lift ticket! Buses will depart campus every hour on the hour from 9 am to 3 pm in addition to the regularly scheduled PE bus, and return at every half hour 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
9 am: Women's first run of the Giant Slalom @ the Dartmouth Skiway
10 am: Women's 5K classical nordic @ the Oak Hill Cross Country Ski Center
10 am - 12:30 pm: Polar Bear Swim @ Occom Pond. The Green Key Society will provide hot chocolate.
10:15 am: Men's first run of the Giant Slalom @ the Dartmouth Skiway
10:30 am - 1 pm: Hillel's post-polar bear plunge hot chocolate and cookies @ the Roth Center
11:30 am: Men's 10K classical nordic @ the Oak Hill Cross Country Ski Center
12 pm: Men's Tennis v. Binghamtom
12:30 pm: Women's second run of the Giant Slalom @ the Dartmouth Skiway
1:30 pm: Men's second run of the Giant Slalom @ the Dartmouth Skiway
4 pm: Reception in recognition of the Ice Chimes sculpture @ the Life Sciences Center
6 pm: Men's tennis v Boston University
6:30 to 8 pm: Where the Filed Things Are @ Rauner Library, sponsored by the Hill Winds Society.
7 pm: A Royal Affair @ Loew Auditorium
7 pm: Women's hockey v Brown
7 pm: Women's basketball v Columbia
8 pm: Winter Whingding @ Spaulding Auditorum
8 pm - 11 pm: Winter Carniball @ Sarner Underground. The masquerade Carniball (free admission) will kick off with a competition between Sheba, Sugarplum, Ujima, Street Soul, and Raaz, who are trying to earn your vote for a $500 prize. Three drinks per person of Smuttynose or Woodchuck for 21+, and free food for all. DJ Fierce Brosnan and a dance party post-competition. Semi-formal attire/flair encouraged.
Saturday
9 am - 12 pm: Dartmouth College Second Annual Symposium on Sexual Assault @ the Top of the Hop, by the Dartmouth College SPCSA
9 am: Men's first run of Slalom @ the Dartmouth Skiway
10 am: Men's 3x5k Freestyle Race @ Oak Hill Cross Country Ski Center
10:15 am: Women's first run of Slalom @ the Dartmouth Skiway
11:15 am: Women's 3x5k Freestyle Race @ Oak Hill Cross Country Ski Center
11:30 am - 1:30 pm: Ski Team Winter Carnival Tailgate @ the Dartmouth Skiway
12:30 pm: Men's second run of Slalom @ the Dartmouth Skiway
1:30 pm: Women's second run of Slalom @ the Dartmouth Skiway
2 pm - 3 pm: Human Dog Sled Race @ the Green - come one and all and wear FLAIR!
3 pm - 5 pm: Second Annual Winter Carnival Chili Cook-Off @ Collis Patio, by Phi Delta Alpha
3 pm - 5 pm: Hot chocolate @ Robo lawn, by Collis Governing Board
3 pm - 5 pm: Sledding competition for '15s @ the Golf course, sponsored by 2015 class council
4 pm - 6 pm: Make your own sock hand puppet @ Collis Commonground. Other submitted Carnival poster contenders will be on display for viewing.
4 pm: Women's Hockey v Yale
4 pm: Film Special: Passion for Snow, a world premier.
7 pm: Women's basketball v Cornell
7 pm: 2013 Academy Award Nominated Short Films (Animated) @ Loew
8 pm: Barbary Coast Jazz Ensemble's 37th Annual Dartmouth Winter Carnival Concert featuring Gregorio Uribe @ Spaulding Auditorium
8 pm - 11 pm: LUL stroll show @ Sarner
8:30 pm -10 pm: Hot chocolate and conversation with Cru @ Fahey first floor lounge
9 pm: M*A*S*H @ Loew
9 pm - 12 am: Dance party in One Wheelock, by Collis Governing Board
