Interested in learning about gender and power dynamics on campus?

Want to know more about identifying action steps for sexual violence prevention within our community?

Interested in facilitating discussions on campus norms around gender, sexuality, and sexual assault?

Want to learn how to run effective awareness campaigns?

******************************

If you answered YES to any one of those questions...

Then join Movement Against Violence (MAV)!

******************************

MAV is a student-led organization that focuses on facilitating dialogue among our peers about the spectrum of sexual violence and promoting awareness on the issue.

After attending Day 1 & 2 of training, students are ready to facilitate discussions in our

Prevention Education branch surrounding sexual assault prevention, power dynamics, sexism, and bystander intervention with groups on campus.

If you do not want to facilitate discussions, but still want to be involved, you can attend Day 1 of training and be involved with the Awareness and Promotion branch of MAV, where members will develop and organize social marketing campaigns, events, publications, and partnerships across campus.

If you are interested in becoming part of MAV, fill out the application below.

Please complete the application by WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 7th at midnight.

Also, don't stress about the application. It's just a way for us to get to know you all and figure out how to best cater our training to incoming members!

Training for this term will be on SATURDAY, JANUARY 10th from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm (Day 1) and JANUARY 11th from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm (Day 2).

Unfortunately, we can't take new members unless they attended training, but don't worry, we take new facilitators every term!
