Expression, Resistance, and Healing with Art in the Queer/Asian Community

A panel featuring Arabelle Sicardi, Shing Yin Khor, and Franny Choi that explores each artist's use of their respective medium as a form of identity exploration, resistance, and healing.

Arabelle Sicardi<https://arabellesicardi.contently.com/> is a writer and blogger whose content focuses on the intersection of Queer and Asian identities. Arabelle uses fashion as a medium for expression and has written about beauty, make-up, feminism, and identity for several different outlets, and is currently working on a book.

Shing Yin Khor<sawdustbear.com> is an artist and illustrator whose work centers immigrant communities and their experiences in the current political climate through her art, comics, and sculptures.

Franny Choi<Frannychoi.com> is a writer and performer. A finalist at the National Poetry Slam, the Individual World Poetry Slam, and the Women of the World Poetry Slam, Franny tackles "the collision of identities" in her works, engaging with the ideas of race, gender, class, and sexuality.


Zines 101: An Interactive Workshop

Join artist Shing Yin Khor for an interactive workshop on zine production and zine culture. Participants will develop their own zines and leave with a copy of everyone else's!
