Hi Everyone,

There are THREE different opportunities to get involved with Dartmouth Humanitarian Engineering (DHE) this week! If you are NEW to DHE, engineering, or Dartmouth in general that's great, PLEASE COME! See all the options below. As an update to those who came to the last meeting, machine and safety trainings will be blitzed out as soon as possible, we are still waiting on the shop manager to coordinate the final step. They are expected to be held over the next two weeks.

1) Come to the General Meeting Tuesday 8:00 pm in Thayer MB01. This will be a group brainstorming and DESIGN SESSION where we try to move our projects forward. Definitely the EASIEST way to get involved, no experience necessary! Directions to MB01: Walk in the MacLean main entrance in Thayer (this is the second building as you are walking from Baker Tower). Turn left and keep walking straight down the stairwell. The door to the room should be on your left after the first flight of stairs.

2) Come to a Hands-On Prototyping Meeting Monday 8:00 pm in Couch (Thayer). This will be a smaller, informal meeting where we try to BUILD and test some of the ideas we talked about earlier in general meetings. It's also open to EVERYONE and will be changing times throughout the term. Great if you want to get some hands-on engineering experience! Directions to Couch Lab: Walk in the MacLean main entrance in Thayer (this is the second building as you are walking from Baker Tower). Go straight and it will be the large room on your left with all the desks.

3) If you are interested in the DHE Pitch Program (see attached handout), please reach out to me to talk about any ideas you may have for YOUR PROJECT! I would love to get an idea about people's plan and also see if I can direct you to the right Thayer resources. I am happy to meet and provide more details about the program as well.

Hope to see you all out this week! Please feel free to blitz me at [log in to unmask] if you have any questions.
