Did you know that as a student of Dartmouth College, you are considered a resident of New Hampshire? This means that YOU are affected by the policies enacted by the State of NH, and that YOU also have the right to vote here!

If you’re feeling unsure about your civic responsibilities or about what’s currently happening policy-wise in NH, this is a GREAT opportunity for you!

Governor Maggie Hassan will be coming to Dartmouth on May 19 for a public dialogue with Professor Charlie Wheelan to discuss her vision for NH for the near future. She will be addressing what we should be doing today to address changes in demographic trends and other issues she sees as critical for New Hampshire’s development.

Governor Hassan began her career in public service in 1999 when Governor Jeanne Shaheen asked her to serve on the Advisory Committee to the Adequacy in Education and Finance Commission. In 2004, Governor Hassan was first elected to the New Hampshire Senate, serving the people of the 23rd District. She is now serving her second term as the New Hampshire State Governor.

Come to Silsby 028 at 4:30 PM on Tuesday 5/19 to hear from and ask questions directly to the Governor herself!
