The Dartmouth Interfraternity Council (IFC) serves to regulate and enhance the fraternity experience at Dartmouth. We are committed to enhancing the benefits of fraternity membership, and we ensure that all recognized Dartmouth fraternities are in line with the expectations of the North American Interfraternity Conference.

As a member of the IFC Executive Board, you will get to work directly with the Dartmouth Administration and Office of Greek Life. You will be a leading voice of Dartmouth’s Greek Life and will have the opportunity to make truly impactful changes on our campus.

The IFC oversees thirteen fraternities: Alpha Chi Alpha (AXA), Beta Alpha Omega (Beta), Bones Gate (BG), Chi Gamma Epsilon (Chi Gam), Chi Heorot (Heorot), Gamma Delta Chi (GDX), Kappa Pi Kappa (Pi Kap), Phi Delta Alpha (Phi Delt), Psi Upsilon (Psi U), Sigma Nu (Sig Nu), Sigma Phi Epsilon (Sig Ep), Theta Delta Chi (TDX), and Zeta Psi (Zete). The IFC plays its biggest role in regulating New Member recruitment and event funding for fraternities. New member recruitment occurs during the Fall and is open to all sophomore or upperclassmen students. The IFC typically sponsors two fraternity-wide rush events in the Fall, both of which are normally BBQ cookouts or other social events where potential new members can meet brothers. Throughout the year, the IFC also monitors any requests from fraternities seeking funding approval for their events. These requests are approved based on their accordance to the funding guidelines listed on the Engage IFC page.
