Each year, the Collis Center for Student Involvement gives awards to student organizations. This is your chance to voice your opinion and let us know all the exciting events that have happened this year on campus.

Please nominate organizations based on the criteria below. Deadline for nominations is midnight on May 15, 2012.  Email your nominations to "COSO" and be sure to include a short description explaining your reasons for nominating a particular group.

COSO Organization Award Categories

Best New Organization: This award is available for any organization recognized between Spring 2011 to Winter 2012 and will be awarded to an organization that hit the ground running and during their first year as an organization made strides in the community and worked toward their purpose.

Best Collaborative Event: COSO would like to recognize organizations that enhance their events through collaboration.  The collaboration can be with any student run organization (COSO or otherwise), administrative departments, academic departments or other bodies.  Please describe the event and the collaborators.

Best New Event:  Did you hold a new event that really met your purpose and brought something new and interesting to campus?  Let us know what it was.  The event must have been held between Spring 2011 and Winter 2012.

Best Publication/Media:  We have a wide range of publications on campus.  How has the publication made you think?  How has the publication added something new and interesting to campus?

Organizational Leadership:  Leading an organization through termly transition can be a difficult task.  This award is recognition for an organizational leadership team that has been effective in leading the organization over the year.

Organizational Vision: Vision requires organizations to combine creativity and ingenuity with execution and follow-through.  Organizations with vision push themselves to better themselves and the greater Dartmouth Community. Discuss nominated organization's vision and how they have worked this year to meet that vision in creative and effective ways.

Best Large Event

Best Small Event

Best Fundraiser

Creative use of Funds: Organizations are constantly trying new and different approaches to meet their purpose. Have use used your funds (either requested or discretionary) or seen funds used in a way that is unique, interesting and fit with the purpose of the organization?

Advisor of the Year: Nominate an organization advisor that has helped the organization succeed, has gone above and beyond to help the organization and has made an impact on the members of the organization.

Organization of the Year:  An organization that has left its mark on the campus, fulfilling its purpose and impacting the campus community.
