Come hear Adam Jackson, a social-media expert atTomTom, talk about how to constructively channel the modern social media culture to market good causes. Adam’s unique background as a successful serial internet entrepreneur and the challenges he has faced as founder of OurBloc.TV, which promotes the use of individual webcams to deter and fight neighborhood crime, should make for a great discussion.

Adam Jackson
Currently Senior Project Manager at TomTom, Jackson is a social media expert who channels his expertise in social media strategy to build better social networks and online communities. In 2008, he embarked on the AdamsBlock project to deter crime using his webcam, the result was a street corner with crime down 30%, $2,000 raised for local charities and a website with over 1 million hits in its first month. He later extended the crowd-sourced neighborhood watch concept as OutBlock.TV. Previously, Adam was Community Manager at Brightkite, a founder of TweetForMyBiz.com and the owner of DTT Media, Inc.
