The Dartmouth College Bowl team is holding practices at 7-10 PM in Thornton 107 tonight and tomorrow!

Quizbowl is a fun, competitive game that tests your knowledge of academic subjects like literature, science, history, social science and art, as well as a few other cool areas like mythology. Your major is almost certainly represented in some way. If you're interested in a bunch of different subjects, you will probably love quizbowl. If you are extremely interested in, say, chemistry, but you don't know a lot about literature, then that's why you have teammates.

The College Bowl team travels to exotic places like Yale and Virginia Tech in order to compete in tournaments. If you've ever wanted to brag about Dartmouth's superiority to Harvard in a way that does not involve quoting the tired Conan O'Brien speech, beating their team at quizbowl would give you some justification.

If you're interested, you should come to practice and learn the rules (basically you press a buzzer when you know the answer). Our practices are pretty informal and we are always looking for new people. Feel free to show up during any time that practice is going on.

Questions can be directed at [log in to unmask] or any of the following people:

President: Nick Jensen '15
Vice President: Cooper Stimson '13.5
Treasurer: Cameron Orth '13.5
