Passed along from Meegan Daigler '14:

Come protest the Keystone XL pipeline this Sunday! (The pipeline would be built to send tar sands--which release 3 times the amount of CO2 when burned--from Canada to the southern coast of the US). This biggest climate rally in history is this weekend and YOU want to be there! More info here<http://act.350.org/signup/presidentsday?utm_source=TomDispatch&utm_campaign=0780b6a2b6-TD_Klare2_10_2013&utm_medium=email>

A group of students (not affiliated with any specific organization for a change, making blitzing out to campus difficult...) is traveling to DC this Saturday for the rally on Sunday. There are 2 spots left on the bus! Let Meegan Daiger ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) know if you want one of the spots!

The details are as follows:

-Meegan and co will be departing from behind Robo at 9 am on Saturday morning and will arrive in DC at 7 pm. Three young alums and current students are hosting the ralliers on Saturday night. The rally is from 12-4 and we will depart at 5 pm so we will be back by 2 am!
-The trip will cost $16 plus the cost for food.
-This will need to be paid TODAY (Friday) to Julie on the first floor of Robinson Hall by 4:30. Her hours are 8 am - 4:30 pm and she takes a lunch break from 12-1. Get confirmation from Meegan that you got one of the spots before you go see her.

There are going to be around 15,000 people in DC for this...should be EPIC and you should be there!

LET'S GO!

Meegan
