"The Asian and Asian American LLC will be a community residential base for all Dartmouth students interested in engaging in issues specific to Pan Asian identity and the history of trans-Pacific migration. Through cultural programming such as film screenings, literature/poetry readings, and potluck discussions; academic initiatives such as dinners with professors with Asian/Asian American concentrations; and professional networking with alumni from the Dartmouth Asian Pacific Alumni Association, we will critically assess what it means to be as Asian/Asian American as individuals and as a community at Dartmouth. We hope to foster a better understanding of Asian/Asian American identity and understand how that identity intersects with gender, sexuality, religion, nationality, and more. We hope for the floor to comprise of self-identified Asian and Asian American students as well as students who do not identify as such but are interested in learning more!"
