Professor Tricia Keaton of the African and African American Studies (AAAS) Program has asked the Nathan Smith Society to alert all students to an important lecture next week.

Date/Time/Location:  Thursday, January 11 (4:30 PM;  041 Haldeman).

Speaker: Dr. Joseph L. Graves, Jr, Associate Dean for Research & Professor of Biological Sciences at North Carolina A&T and UNC Greensboro.

Title of lecture: "Smashing Agassiz’s Boulder:  Debunking Biological Conceptions of Race Beyond the Millennium".

Dr. Graves has been an important national voice on the subject of race and biology;  more information in the enclosure.   Hope to see many of you there.
