are you into social justice?

ethnic studies? anti-capitalism/anti-colonialism?

want to meet other asians who care about these things?

or don't know what any of those things are but want to learn?

please fill out this interest form<https://forms.gle/eaMQv6SUfgfcMAEY6> and we’ll be in contact with you in coordinating our first meeting!

4A is an asian/american radical org that tries to:

  * provide a space for everyone to learn what it means to be a politicized asian/american<https://aaww.org/asian-american-movement/>

  * organize actions, especially in coalition with other activist groups on campus, to challenge the administration/broader dartmouth community with protests, meetings with faculty and administration, and other consciousness raising events

  * get asian american studies<https://muse.jhu.edu/journal/86> on campus, to critique how race and colonialism operate

  * collaboratively create a healing, uplifting, and loving community with each other

past projects have included:

  * an annual ‘where are the asians?’ panel of politicized seniors sharing their experiences

  * meetings with administration and faculty, advocating for asian/american & ethnic studies departments

  * fighting in coalition with other students for tenuring faculty of colour<https://www.nhpr.org/post/fight-faculty-color-dartmouth-and-beyond#stream/0>

  * the successful preservation<https://www.thedartmouth.com/article/2018/05/pac-and-rainbow-room-petition-affects-change> of physical, central spaces for asian/american and lgbtq+ students (such as Pan Asian Community & Rainbow rooms)

  *   socials!

this term, we plan to hold space for new ideas and projects that anyone wants to bring in.

email [log in to unmask] if you have any questions! we’re here for you!
