The Dartmouth Afro-American Society (AAm) and the Black Male Initiative are proud to partner with the President’s Office and Student Affairs to pilot an Alternative Spring Break program in Miami, Florida from March 14th - 20th, 2019.

Miami is the site of some of the nation’s richest hidden Black history. Known for its global restaurants, street murals, and distinct Afro-Caribbean culture, Miami has a remarkable diversity of people from many countries in Africa, the Caribbean, and the Americas. This trip has been intentionally designed to explore the history of Miami's African Diaspora through workshops, tours, and various cultural experiences, and we welcome all students who have demonstrated a distinct curricular and/or co-curricular interest in the key themes of this trip to apply!
