Want to hone your debating skills? Enjoy discussing hot topics with other interested people? Eager to become a better public speaker? Then come to the Dartmouth Parliamentary Debate Team's first termly meeting TODAY, SEPTEMBER 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Carpenter 201!

Parliamentary debate is a competitive style focused on logical argumentation and impromptu speaking. As a debater, you'll learn how to quickly form arguments and speak confidently on a wide variety of topics. If you want to get a better idea of what this looks like in practice, we will be hosting a demonstration round at our meeting tomorrow to show newcomers what parli is all about.

No prior experience? No problem! First-timers and experienced debaters are equally welcome. We'll give you all the skills you need to be successful in the league. We're also open to all levels of commitment - you can come to as many or as few practices and tournaments as you want. So if debate sounds like something you'd be interested in, please show up tomorrow and see what it's all about!

Hope to see lots of you there,
Dartmouth Parliamentary Debate Team
