Come join us at one of our annual wellness events for faculty and staff! This are a great opportunity to learn more about your health, recharge, connect with colleagues, and gain insight into programs and resources available to support your well-being. Experience the following free of charge: chair massages, interactive wellness stations, campus wellness partners, health stations, stainless steel water bottle giveaway, prizes, snacks, and more! Mini-workshops will also be offered on the Hanover campus. Stop by the Sustainability Office’s table!



DARTMOUTH BIKES POP-UP BIKE SHOP, 4-6PM, FAHEY/MCLANE

Mechanics will assess bikes on arrival, and may decide some repairs are beyond the scope of PUBS. However, we will be happy to help you schedule an appointment if this is the case.

*Note* Dartmouth Bikes PUBS provide students/faculty with service on their bikes, and are intended to help with ‘quick fixes.’

PUBS is NOT the place to bring your bike if it requires major maintenance.

HANOVER’S COMMITMENT TO 100% RENEWABLE ENERGY, 6PM-7:30PM, HANOVER TOWN HALL (UPSTAIRS BOARD ROOM)

Michael Brune, the Executive Director of the Sierra Club, the largest grassroots environmental organization in the country, is visiting Hanover next week to discuss Hanover’s upcoming town vote to commit to 100% renewable energy. He will also be speaking about the nationwide transition to clean energy, and how cities are taking the lead on clean energy and climate action.

Julia Griffin, the Town Manager of Hanover, NH, will be speaking about what Hanover has already done to work toward a goal of 100% renewable energy, and what they will be doing in the future to support renewable energy and energy efficiency throughout the town. Julia will also be speaking about Hanover’s upcoming May 9th, 2017 vote to commit to 100% renewable energy.

Join us as Brooke Williams presents from his new book, Open Midnight: Where Ancestors and Wilderness Meet.  Reception and book signing after the event.

Brooke Williams has spent the last thirty years advocating for wilderness. He is the author of four books, including Open Midnight, Halflives: Reconciling Work and Wildness, and The Story of My Heart, by Richard Jeffries, as rediscovered by Brooke Williams and Terry Tempest Williams. His journalistic pieces have appeared in Outside, Huffington Post, Orion, and Saltfront.

DOCUMENTARY SCREENING: REUSE! BECAUSE YOU CAN’T RECYCLE THE PLANET 3-5PM, PAGANUCCI LOUNGE

Come see this free movie screening about how to reduce your environmental impact! This documentary features creative ways to reduce and reuse waste. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring the filmmakers and Dartmouth faculty, discussing the waste stream at Dartmouth.

EARTH WEEK EVENTS!

During Earth Week, the Dartmouth Sustainability Office will host the seventh annual Sustainability and Social Justice Dinner. The dinner is both a celebration of our sustainability work thus far, and a call-to-action to continue discussing the intersection of sustainability and social justice.

Our speaker this year will be Christine Souffrant, a Dartmouth '11, entrepreneur and founder of Vendedy, and a member of the 2016 list of Forbes 30 under 30. Christine is a visionary in the social entrepreneurship field, tackling issues of sustainability, racial, and global justice.

The dinner will be held on Monday, April 17 in Common ground in the Collis Center from 6:30-8:30pm.
