To the Dartmouth Community,

Alpha Kappa Alpha, Xi Lambda Chapter stands in solidarity with the Trips Director, Assistant Director, and all people who were directly affected by the recent Op-Ed. As a group that is based around uplifting women and specifically women of color, we recognize that this type of rhetoric is far more common than most would like to acknowledge.

What the directorate is doing with their selection should be celebrated. They have given qualified people a platform and position of influence that has been historically withheld because of racist and sexist beliefs. This selection process will only help mold the future of Dartmouth into making this college a better campus for everyone.

We stand with you and support you.

In solidarity,

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Xi Lambda Chapter
