Dartmouth Community,

We, the Co-Educational Greek Council of Dartmouth, would like to publicly applaud the Inter-Fraternity Council's decision to abolish "pledge term." We believe that this is a positive step which will work to combat exclusivity and high-risk behavior at Dartmouth.

The Co-Educational Greek Council also wishes to reiterate that in all co-educational houses, new members are immediately granted all rights and privileges of membership. In recent history, none of the co-educational houses have used new membership periods remotely similar to the to fraternity pledge period, commonly known as "pledge term." We are excited to be part of the ongoing effort to make Dartmouth a better place. The Co-Ed Council will continue to evaluate and update our policies to eliminate high-high risk behavior and to improve the Greek system.?

Sincerely,

The Dartmouth Co-Educational Greek Council
