To sign up for any trip, use the signups link or blitz the leader of that trip with your DA$H number make sure you have money in your account!) or saying you would like to pay in cash. Please also send any dietary restrictions and any gear you want to borrow (for free) for the trip.  Your spot will be reserved once you pay.  If the trip is free, just blitz the leader to reserve a spot. Financial aid is available for DOC members if the trip costs more than $10. If you are not a DOC member, you can become one by visiting Robinson Hall 119 to sign up.


Some trips are already/nearly full! You can sign up to be placed on the waitlist but if you want to get first dibs on signups - come to the CnT meeting on Tuesdays at 9pm!

What: Velvet Rocks Hike
When: 4:30-6 p.m.
Why: A nice, easy hike with wonderful new friends and delicious snacks! What could be a better way to spend an afternoon?
Level:1

What: Apple Picking!

When: 2pm - 5pm

Why: You get to pick delicious apples at a local farm!

Level: 1

Cost: $0 DOC, $3 Not-DOC. PLUS everyone has to pay for their own apples so bring a little cash!

MT. CUBE!!!
From 9am-3pm (meet @9am behind Robo)
It's an intermediate length hike, 6.5 miles, should be a beautiful day and great views. Not too steep and well worth the hike.
Level 2.5. $6 DOC and $8 non DOC.

What: Mink Brook
When: Saturday 1pm-3pm
Why: Because it's a fifteen minute walk from campus. Because there will be swimming, and a rope swing!

What: Great Bear Cabin Work!
When: 8am - 5pm
Why: Because watching Maddy struggle to do basic carpentry is entertaining, and it's a great way to give back to the DOC, and being burly is fun
Level: 1! Super beginner friendly! Very very very little walking!

When: 12 - 5
Why: It's got the best of both worlds: at about 2.8 miles total, it's a relatively easy hike, but it also gets you to the exposed peak of a mountain with beautiful views!

What: Mt. Garfield!

When: 8:00 am to 5:30ish pm
Why: Feeling like a fat and lazy garfield or a shot and assassinated President Garfield after the first couple of days or maybe not? Well come cure that first week blues or fuel the hype with a hike up the 4,501 ft Mt. Garfield (9.6 miles round trip). Bald summit, fire tower base, good views, and maybe ice cream on the way back!

What: Holt's Ledge Sunrike + DINER
When: Sunday 5:10am-9am
Why: for a chill ~3 mi hike, an amazing sunrise, and yummy breakfast
Level: 1 (beginner)

Cost: $0 DOC, $3 non DOC. And everyone should bring small bills to pay if you want food at the diner!

Why: A longer, beautiful 11 mile hike with great views and two 4000 footers!
