The Office of Pluralism and Leadership invites you to share your perspective and learn how others experience the world around them by participating in our new and improved intergroup dialogue program (IGD). In addition to meeting people from different backgrounds, IGD participants will have the opportunity to engage with fellow Dartmouth students in authentic conversations about challenging topics. Through story sharing, reflective prompts, and group collaboration, participants will explore issues of identity, diversity, and inequity at Dartmouth. IGD will empower participants to more conscientiously engage with fellow community members' experiences and identities, as well as their own.

IGD discussion topics this term will include race and ethnicity, sexuality, and socioeconomic status and class. Each group will meet for two hours once a week for six weeks. Additionally, participants will attend two day-long retreats (exact dates TBD) to prepare to transition from dialogue to taking action towards more inclusive and just communities at Dartmouth and beyond. Dialogue sessions and retreats will be guided by fellow students trained in group facilitation.

Please click the following link and submit an interest form no later than Wednesday, September 24th at 11:59pm: bit.ly/1qOTEDc <http://bit.ly/1qOTEDc>

Before finalizing dialogue group rosters, OPAL staff will reach out to all accepted participants to confirm their availability.
