Dartmouth Cancer Scholars & Fellows is a special program organized by the Norris Cotton Cancer Center, which is part of Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. The Scholars are a group of 20-25 undergraduates (sophomores and up only) who meet most Mondays from 4 - 5:30 pm at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center at DHMC for a variety of activities including speakers, tours, and discussions. A free bus from campus provides transportation. The programs range from basic science to translational science and clinical care. This program is for undergraduates who want to learn more about the broad scope of careers in cancer. Students are introduced to a vast array of topics and issues in cancer including medicine, healthcare, and medical research.

The application for the program is been attached. To be admitted you must be active at least two of the three terms of the year, and regular attendance to weekly meetings is mandatory. Please send any applications to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> by September 16th at the latest.

This year, we are also introducing Norris Cotton Cancer Center's Oncology Certificate for Dartmouth Undergraduates, the only such program associated with a National Cancer Institute-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Oncology Certificate is awarded by Norris Cotton Cancer Center to Dartmouth undergraduates who have demonstrated significant involvement in the breadth of oncology during their time at the College. Oncology Certificate holders are named Student Members of Norris Cotton Cancer Center and are welcomed into the intellectual exchanges and collaboration that characterize our Research Programs. More information about the Certificate will be given during the first meeting of the term on 9/19.
