Greek Leadership Council Elections



RESUME DROP due Friday, March 4 at Midnight







Please submit your resume of relevant experience, a brief description of why you are interested in Greek leadership, and your D plan to  [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. Please specify which position(s) you are interested in.



A finalized slate will be passed on Monday, March 7.







What is the GLC?

The GLC is the overarching body of the five Greek sub-councils: the IFC, Panhell, Gen Inc, NPHC and NALFO.



We are holding elections for next year (16S-17W). This is a great opportunity to get involved with the greater Greek community. We strongly encourage all affiliated 17s and 18s with an interest in leadership and community action to get involved!

The following positions will be elected:



Chair



Current: Elizabeth Wilkins ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>)



Works to balance the needs, interests and perspectives of each of the sub-councils. Interacts regularly with the Administration and campus leaders to promote the interests of the GLC and its constituents. Holds regular meetings with board, sub-council presidents, house presidents, and other necessary outlets



Vice Chair



Current: David Bassali



Collaborates with the exec board on all major projects to enable the full functioning of the GLC.



Current projects: improving the AXIS system, administering the McEwen award and planning spring and summer elections.



Accountability Chair



Current: Taylor Watson



Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the GLC constitution and ensuring it is complied with by potential new members, Greek houses, and Greek students.



Current projects: coordinating pre-recruitment DBI trainings, leading efforts to improve the existing Greek codes, and chairing the Greek Board of Accountability.



Treasurer



Current: Catherine Ding



Responsible for allocating the GLC’s termly funds to various fun, open events to support philanthropy, intellectualism,student safety and campus unity.



Current projects: funding programming requests, balancing budgets with multiple funding sources, and approving weekly events sponsored by members of the Greek Community.



Communications Manager



Current: Charlotte Kamai



Maintains and promotes the public image of the GLC, its sub-councils, the Greek organizations, and the Greek community as a whole.



Current projects: publishing monthly newsletters, sending out updates to presidents, and handling all communications and public relations for the GLC.



Events Coordinator (Programming)



Current: Franklin Dickinson



Organizes and manages the campus-wide and Greek programs sponsored by the GLC.



Current projects: organizing events between Greek houses to promote a broader community, encouraging and developing creative events for intellectual and philanthropic diversity, and scheduling performance programs at Greek houses,
