>>The hype has died down, the volunteer fair is a faded memory, but Prison Project is always looking for new volunteers! It is never too late to get involved.
>>If you are interested in coming along this Friday to learn more, to tutor, to write or to discuss, blitz the account by Friday morning.
{We'll be leaving from Tucker at 2, back on campus by 5.}
Prison Project is a volunteer organization run through the Tucker Foundation, visiting Southeast State Correctional Facility in Windsor, VT. On Fridays from 2-5 we tutor for various subjects, help men at the facility work towards their academic and career goals through workshops and one-on-one sessions. This term, we are conducting a writing workshop- student volunteers and men at the facility write to a common prompt and then discuss each other's work in a peer feedback, safe space setting with the goal of reaching across institutional walls and sharing voices and stories.
Southeast State Correctional Facility is a minimum-security all male institution.
