Want to hone your debating skills? Enjoy discussing hot topics with other interested people? Eager to become a better public speaker? Then come to the Dartmouth Parliamentary Debate Team’s first termly meeting Monday, January 9 at 7:00 p.m. in Carpenter 201!



Parliamentary debate is a competitive style focused on logical argumentation and impromptu speaking. As a debater, you’ll learn how to quickly form arguments and speak confidently on a wide variety of topics. Not only is it fun to discuss interesting ideas with like-minded peers, you'll gain valuable skills that will help you win that sick summer internship [😉]



No prior experience? No problem! First-timers and experienced debaters are equally welcome. We'll give you all the skills you need to be successful in the league. We're also open to all levels of commitment - you can come to as many or as few practices and tournaments as you want. So if debate sounds like something you'd be interested in, please show up tomorrow and see what it's all about!
