Cold weather got you down? The best way to beat the winter blues is to *get
outside!*

We are running a ton of trips this weekend, including a few beginner trips!
To sign up, blitz the leaders or click the link. If you're not sure what to
bring, just ask! You can always borrow a warm puffy jacket and mittens to
keep you warm on the hike.

Friday

What : Mink Brook Nature Walk

When: after 2s (3:15-5:00)

Why: Get outside!

Level: 1

Leaders: Adam Burnett and Christopher Cartwright

Gear: regular winter clothing and footwear

Saturday

What: Hiking Mt. Cannon

When: 8:15-3:30

Why: Cannon is a bald summit 4,000 footer with great views all around. The
hike is 6 miles round trip and should be fairly warm with low winds.

Level: 3

Cost: $8 DOC and $12 non-DOC

Gear: Bring clothes suitable to hike in 20-30 degree weather as well as
gloves, a hat and rain gear.

Saturday

What: Norwich Contra Dance

When: 7:30 - 11:30 pm

Why: Contra dancing is similar to square dancing and very beginner-friendly
(you may have done this on trips!) No experience is required, and you get
to listen to live music and meet people from the community.

Level: 1

Cost: $0 DOC, $1 non-DOC, everybody bring $7 in cash for the dance

What: CAMEL'S HUMP

When: Saturday, 8am-5pm

Why: pretty moderate 6.5-mile 4,000 footer in Vermont, bald summit, VERY
CLOSE to the Ben & Jerry's factory also, so there will likely be ice cream

What: Mt. Cube Hike

When: Saturday 9AM-2PM

Why: Come on an easy/moderate hike up Mt. Cube with us! Beautiful views,
fun times and snacks guaranteed. (6 miles total)

Level: 2

Gear: Spikes!

Saturday

What: Hike the Kinsmans!

When: Saturday 6:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Why: Come hike two four thousand footers with BEAUTIFUL VIEWS of Franconia
Ridge (and beautiful leaders ;) ;) too much?). You're going to be studying
all day on Sunday because the weather will be crappy so you might as well
have an adventure all day on Saturday!! Also there will be chocolate. And
cabot. And other delicious items. This will be a very strenuous hike, but
will be super rewarding.

Level: 4

Gear: We will bring microspikes and overmitts for every trippy. Email to

What: Mt. Flume!

When: Sunday 8am - 4:45

Why: Gradual, wooded 11 mile round trip hike to a beautiful exposed summit
on the end of Franconia Ridge!

Level: 3.5

What: it's a 7.5 mile hike at Mount Ascutney

When: 8:30-3:30

Why: cause you love walking recreationally and we love walking
recreationally, so let's walk recreationally together!

What: Fabulous Hike to Holt's Ledge

When: 9AM - 1PM

Why: Because Midterm Season has started and a short trip outside will help
refresh your mind.
