Learn to Curl
Date: Wednesday, January 30, 2019, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Location: Wendall A. Barwood Arena, 45 Highland Avenue, White River Jct, VT
Cost: $30 per person, must be 12+ years old to participate
Waiver Forms must be signed at event
Coached by experienced members of the Upper Valley Curling Club, you will learn the basics of delivery, sweeping, and strategy. You must have good balance and some flexibility and strength, but do not think that Olympic players represent the average curler! Your lead instructor will be an OSHER@Dartmouth member and student, and a dedicated curler. The club supplies all equipment; you need to have warm clothing and shoes with non-skid soles. In a two-hour session there will be one break to warm up. The class will be held mostly on the ice in the Wendell A. Barwood ice arena in White River Junction.

Crabgrass Puppet Theatre presents The Lion & The Mouse

Family Day: Meet the Museum
Date: Sunday, February 3, 12:00pm - 5:00pm
Location: Hood Museum of Art
Cost: Free
Get creative together! Drop in for an afternoon adventure in the new Hood Museum of Art. Try in-gallery activities, explore the museum on your own with a family guide, and create your own artworks to take home. For children ages 4 to 12 with adult companions.
At 1:30pm, there will be a special performance by the Swing Peepers, a vocal-harmony and multi-instrument duo that performs inventive, earth-friendly, and interactive songs and stories.

Valentine's Chocolate Fantasy
Date: Thursday, February 7, 5:30pm - 8:30pm
Location: Coop Learning Center, Centerra Park 12, Centerra Parkway, Lebanon, NH
Cost: $25 per person, beer & wine will be served- must be 21 years or older
Valentine's Day is right around the corner and what is better than giving a box of chocolates? Making one together! You and your sweetheart will dive into the rich and delicious world of chocolate making. You will make flavored ganache, rolling truffles, tempering chocolate and adding your own decorative touches - you will create a delicious box of chocolates. Bring yourself or come as a couple. All ingredients and supplies provided.

Cost: $110 per couple (advance purchase only)
To celebrate Valentine's Day - the Heartland Lions Club is hosting a dinner/dance at Fireside Inn & Suites. Social/Cash Bar: 5:30pm; Dinner is served at 6:15pm; Dancing from 7-10:30pm. Live music provided by Smoke and Mirrors. Many door prizes including a $1,500 travel voucher, grand prize. All proceeds go to local charities.
