Constellations at the Grange Theatre

Date: Thursday, January 10, 2019, 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Location: The Grange Theatre, 65 Stage Road, South Pomfret, VT 05067

Cost: $25 per ticket

After sold-out performances this summer in Warren and Montpelier, Green Room Productions is bringing this intimate and powerful love story to ArtisTree for one week only! Constellations by Nick Payne directed by Joanne Greenberg, starring Dominic Spillane and Maren Langdon Spillane. Physicist Marianne meets beekeeper Roland at a party. They go for a drink ... or perhaps they don’t. Marianne’s engaged ... or perhaps Roland is married. Or maybe they’re both single. Nick Payne’s smash Broadway hit play (in which Jake Gyllenhaal played Roland) takes this chance encounter between two lost souls and opens the door to the infinite possibilities of their relationship. Breathlessly navigating through the spellbinding and romantic journey of being in love, Constellations looks at how the tiniest change in the detail of our lives can lead us on completely different paths.

Friday Night Sing-Ins

Date: Friday, January 11, 2019, 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm

Location: Paddock Music Library, Dartmouth College Library

Cost: Free

Join us every Friday evening from 5-6:30PM during the month of January for the Sing-Ins in the Paddock Music Library. You do not need to be an experienced or "good" singer to participate. Our motto is, "If you can talk, you can sing!" The Sing-Ins are a chance to learn the music of social movements in America, to sing them with others who enjoy making music, and to discuss the questions that such music raises. For the past two years, these events have taught the songs of the civil rights movement of the 1960s. This year, we take a look at labor movements in America, with parallels related to race, class, and gender.
