For me, a landscape does not exist in its own right, since its appearance changes at every moment; but the surrounding atmosphere brings it to life - the light and the air which vary continually. For me, it is only the surrounding atmosphere which gives subjects their true value." ~ Claude Monet

Join Revels North and ArtisTree and celebrate the Summer Solstice!

Summer Revels is an outdoor festival produced in collaboration by Revels North and ArtisTree, to create an opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy the longest day of the year. The Summer Solstice -- when the sun seems to stand still in the sky -- is the perfect chance to celebrate life in full bloom! Summer Revelers will eat, chat, play, parade, dance, and be the audience for the culminating performance of our multi-generational Summer Revels Community Chorus. The Summer Revels performance takes us across the U.S.A. on a family vacation! New arrangements of old familiar songs, from Appalachia to honky-tonk, New England to New Mexico. A little bit country, a little bit rock-n-roll, a little bit madcap, and a lot of fun. Food trucks, children's activities, entertainment and more! Includes roving performances with food vendors with a 60-90 min performance as the focal point of the gathering, ends with a bonfire, songs. Gates open: 5pm. Food Trucks (Kiss the Cow and VT Munchies) plus lots of fun: 5:30-9pm!Summer Revels Performance: 6:30pm. Summer Revels is a free event! Donations to support and sustain Revels North programs are gratefully accepted.
