The T.H. White book is about goshawks (hence the title, "The Goshawk,") and I enjoyed reading it way back whenever it was that I discovered the book.

I'm not sure I would have enjoyed the T.H. White book as much if I had read Helen Macdonald's book first. And Ted is right; her book is much more about loss and grieving than it is about goshawks.

I did learn a fair amount about falconry from both books, though.
