* DCAL's Learning Community *

DCAL's Learning Community for Future Faculty - Benefits and challenges
of a flipped classroom (note different start time!)

Dartmouth’s Bio13 and Chem52 have both been redesigned to incorporate
more content delivery through videos before class so in-class time is
focused on facilitated small group activities and discussions. Join the
Teaching Science Fellows (former Dartmouth undergrads) working with
these classes to chat about the benefits and some of the issues that
arise from this type of course format.

In order to cultivate a community focused on teaching and learning
amongst graduate students and postdocs, DCAL has established a Learning
Community for Future Faculty (LCFF). The focus of this group is to share
the rewards and challenges of college teaching, while digging a bit
deeper into best practices and techniques for teaching.  The LCFF meets
monthly usually on the 2nd Monday of the month.

for 1 or 2 of these dates/times:

You’ll greet and assist employers and help our staff with set up or
packing up. Use the opportunity to chat informally with employer

those who help, in addition to a Skinny Pancake gift card.
