A typically productive morning at Campbell Flats, with the immature Little Blue Heron continuing to put on a show. The real surprise was a persistently singing Yellow-billed Cuckoo that flew overhead from one side of the road to the other, last heard singing ~9 am by the set-back house on the north side of the road. A Blue-gray Gnatcatcher and adult Tennessee Warbler were foraging along the forest edge on the west end of the corn field.
