We now have the registration links for our Managing Personnel Records (And Sensitive Information) training, the first Records Management training of 2017.  Please decide which of the dates and times below best fits your schedule, click on the link, and you will be taken to the HR registration site.

Class Description

Do you need help managing personnel records and sensitive data?  This training is a great introduction to general principles of Records Management, even though it is targeted to personnel records, and anyone who handles staff and faculty records.

 

Specific topics covered:

• Definition of personnel records and what this means (from NH statutes and labor laws)
• Which records can be stored with HR centrally vs. those that can be kept in Departments
• Dartmouth policies for personnel records
• What to keep and what not to keep in personnel records
• Employee access to these records
• How to better safeguard sensitive data
• Resources offered by Dartmouth HR and Records Management
