Walked out the garage door about 7:00 a.m. and was greeted by a phoebe's insistent, raspy call. I've been expecting to hear it given the number of phoebe reports turning up of late. They are back in force. An expedition later in the morning along Lyme's southern stretch of River Rd., from Grant Brook to the Hanover line, turned up phoebe records at five out of six stops.
