Just returned from an hour foray to Campbell Flats, Pompy
Flats and Kendall Station.
At Campbell: a pile of sparrows flew out of the “corn”
over to the shrubs adorning the field near the boats.
I pished a tiny bit and about 16 Song and 8 Am.Tree perched
facing me. Lovely plummages. Some singing.
The beavers have done their magic so with any luck we may
have another good wet birds spring (BwTe, AmBi, SoSa).
1 Green-w. Teal at Kendall. Hoodies in
various locations. Several Common Mergs on river.
Pair of (gorgeous, prehistoric) Pie-liated Woodpeckers on
Kendal St Rd….200yds north of the RR tracks.
Good to be out !!
(Carolina Wren at our feeder, only the second time…..the
other he stayed for a month and sang once)
