Hello People,
So I am starting to think about track, but we are still at Occum Pond.
So this week's workout we pick up the pace, but compensate with a full
recovery.
o 1 mile warm-up
o 3 min-out / 3 min-back
o 4 x 800m - 400 recovery
o 1 mile warm
The idea of the "3 min-out / 3 min-back" is to start around the pond,
running for 3 minutes. At 3 minutes, stop, turn around and come back.
Ideal, if you pace is even, you get back to the starting point at
exactly 6 minutes. This is a pacing exercise.
The 800m are to be run at 5k race pace.
