Highlights of a walk along Campbell Flats around noon today yielded a bluebird sitting on a patch of ice on the river bend, a northern shrike at the top of a tree along the river near the picnic table, a pair of black ducks, a pair of hooded mergansers, and a flock of 22 singing tree sparrows. A bit further past the flats headed toward Thetford was a pileated woodpecker. Happy Spring!
