If you have budget, I would also suggest looking into http://lingtlanguage.com. We have been using the free version, which does not cover the amount of files/users we need. It allows you to embed the prompt (video, audio, text, graphics) into the screen where student record. I’m trying it out now, and it has a lot of capabilities for giving feedback (though it’s not free). Also, we use Voicethread.com, which is also reasonably priced, and now it has the ability to reply to comments made similar to threaded discussions. Good luck. We have a couple of faculty members in French that produce up to four of these activities per week, and VoiceThread isn’t cutting it, because the responses have to be hidden from the other students. Any and all suggestions welcomed! a. -- Andrew F.
