Hi Helen,

At the last SWALLT conference in SDSU, we had a very interesting presentation by Clarissa Clo about her work with her students in curating an old hip-hop record collection. She showed us StoryMap, as one of the tools used by students to map cultural objects. It's a pretty cool site, check it out: https://storymap.knightlab.com/. I hope this helps.

Best,

Veronica

Subject: How to make Interactive Maps

Experts!

I need some advice. One of our French professors wants her students to create a collaborative interactive map of Paris by adding pin points you can click on and then attach their presentations/text/photos to it. Google Earth seemed like the obvious choice to me, but it only seems to let you attach Youtube videos, text, or photos. She wants them to be able to attach PowerPoint or Google Slide presentations. I can't figure out how to do that.

Thanks,

Helen
