Snow Buntings -- On Friday afternoon, a flock of about 50 was seen feeding in a field along NH Rt. 25C about a mile west of Warren. This may well have been the flock that was reported in the same area towards the end of December.
Barred Owls -- Two separate sightings. The first individual was seen in Sugar Hill, NH on Friday around noon perched on a branch in a grove of trees alongside NH Rt. 117 a quarter mile west of Poly's Pancake Parlor. The second owl was seen in Norwich, VT around three p.m. sitting on a utility wire just north of the US Rt. 5 entrance to King Arthur Flour's retail complex.

Wild Turkeys --Upper Valley sightings of flocks ranging in size from around a dozen to 50 were recorded over the last few days in Piermont, Norwich and Lyme (one flock off E. Thetford Rd. and and another on Whipple Hill Road).

Common Ravens -- One bird was an occasional visitor in the sky over the home property this past week. Another was heard calling overhead last Thursday at Lyme's Grant Brook.
