A non-sequitur perhaps, but in Late Bronze Era Tel Azekah in Israel,
approximately 3100 years ago, beheaded fishes were found in storage.
Apparently, catfish.

I was offered to write an MA thesis on that at Tel Aviv University, but
chose the animal fat one instead, which some of you have been helpful with
on this list since I posted in November 2014, and it is nearing the end.

I do not have further information at this time on the fish,

On that note, let me just say I am so happy Amenhotep III held parties, and
wrote a list of items to serve, and also labeled the jars... more when I
finish....
