Late yesterday afternoon, with Jeannie Kornfeld: 20 bohemian waxwings,
several robins, 50+ mallards, 2 tree sparrows, plus the voice of redwings
rising out of the phragmites and cattails. A neighbor told us he had been
hearing redwings since the middle of February (none so far in Coyote
Hollow, Thetford Center, a mere seven or eight miles WNW as crow flies from
Kendal station).
