The crusty snow coating everything is probably making it hard for birds to
find food in the woods and fields. A noticeable increase in all species
this morning; 40+ American Goldfinch, 20ish Dark-eyed Juncoes, 4 Purple
Finch, 5 Pine Siskins, other species more numerous, also. Too bad the
"Great Backyard Bird Count" is over!
