There is currently a pair of Black Scoters at Kilowatt South, on the open water just south of the peninsula. Also present is a male scaup (probably Greater), a male Ring-necked Duck, and 14 Wood Ducks.

At 9:15 am I found an Orange-crowned Warbler at Campbell Flats, at the far end of the small mowed loop before the ditch. The bird was with a Ruby-crowned Kinglet, offering a nice contrast. Further down the road, the corn has been cut, and >200 Red-winged Blackbirds were taking advantage of the bounty. Many sparrows still present.
