Call for Papers for NeMLA 2016 in Hartford, CT.

Advances in readily-available mobile, telework and social technologies have made their way into contemporary cinematic portrayals of 21st century life. These new technologies are integral parts of our modern world and are increasingly common components of 21st century cinematic language. This panel proposes to look at how Spanish and Latin American movies have begun to incorporate these technologies as metaphors for the current socio-political state of affairs in Spanish-speaking countries. Submissions in Spanish or in English will be considered.

All abstracts may be submitted directly to the NeMLA conference site at: https://www.cfplist.com/nemla/Home/S/15878

Abstracts will be accepted until 30 SEP.
