I wonder if others experienced a fall out of birds yesterday (5-Aug) as we did. We had 26 species here (Hartland) within about 45 minutes. Included were 8 warblers, highlight being a blue wing, a scarlet tanager male transitioning to winter garb, two Baltimore orioles, both nuthatch species, a red-eyed vireo, and the usual suspects for this time of year.
This is the greatest variety we have seen since taking our feeders down due to the frequent visitation of a juvenile black bear.
