Family trip to Olde Cape Cod.

 

Birded the shore/ barrier beach near Hyannis.

 

Seems like most species are nesting. 

 

Willets (12) going nuts with all the vocal ruckus.

2  Greater Yellowlegs

6  Piping Plovers…..no sign of young.  They have nested on this beach for years. Monitored by the MA Audubon.

12  Least Terns.  Vocal !

4   Semi-palmated Sandpipers.  With their black legs.

3   Great  Egrets.

1 Semi-plamated Plover

1  Saltmarsh Sparrow.   I scrounge for them. Usually about the saltmarsh edge. Handsome bird, and very elusive, secretive.

2  American Oystercatchers

1   Co. Loon
