Hi Spencer,

We've had a red-shouldered hawk in Thetford Center (Coyote Hollow) for the past four days. It has been unsuccessfully targeting gray squirrels at the feeder. Almost all of the wetland is still unlocked up in ice. Still waiting for the saw-whet owls to return.

A quick trip around Norwich mid-day yesterday was quite productive. The biggest surprise was an adult Red-shouldered Hawk on Bragg Hill Rd. It was about a mile up the road, just past Goddard Rd. Photo: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S22678632

Open water is still scarce along the river, but the Horned Grebe put on quite the show at Kendal Station. At times it was with a few meters of the road!

With the dramatic shift in the weather, Robins appeared to be high tailing it back south. At least 250 seen, including 168 moving south-southwest over the Ledyard Bridge area in just 25 minutes of counting around noon.

American Woodcocks (2) were back on Bragg Hill last night, though no luck finding the Rough-legged Hawk on Stevens Rd.
