Returned home from a bird watching event around noon Saturday to find my neighbor's yard awash in bohemian waxwings. They flew off at the approach of my truck but fortunately landed atop some poplars at the edge of my driveway. That enabled me to get some photos with my iPhone. The following link goes to the shot that has the most individuals. I estimate 125 but that does not include others that dispersed elsewhere on the property.

I don't think there were any cedar waxwings mixed in, but I cannot say with absolute certainty given the poor light conditions.

By 1:30 p.m. they had departed, and they have not been seen since then.
