I still have my usual 15 or so Blue Jays maybe because….. I feed birds in my backyard and feral cats on my front porch to keep them away from the birds.  It works quite well.  Sometimes the cats sit out in the backyard watching but they are full so I haven’t observed any piles of feathers.  But back to the Blue Jay thieves.  They are just as often stealing cat food from the front porch when there are no cats around as feeding on seeds in the back.  Maybe that is why they are still here.
